The criminal army of Russia is launching numerous attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region, where the Ukrainian military is holding a foothold, but the occupiers are being defeated in their attempts to break through the Ukrainian defences.

What is known about the situation in the south of Ukraine

The press service of the Operational Command South (OC South) noted that in the south of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers are trying to strengthen their positions and are pulling up reserves.

They are conducting surveillance, continuing to put pressure with artillery fire, and using various types of drones, both reconnaissance and strike. The defence forces are holding their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, inflicting fire damage on the enemy, who occasionally resorts to assaults but receives a decent rebuff, The Operational Command South emphasises.

It is emphasised that over the past day, Ukrainian troops in southern Ukraine eliminated 24 Russian occupiers, destroyed an enemy cannon, 3 armoured vehicles and 2 observation posts.

What is known about the consequences of enemy shelling in southern Ukraine

At the same time, during the day, amid improving weather conditions, the enemy launched 5 air strikes with Kh-31P missiles and 25 guided aerial bombs in the direction of Naddnipryanske, Darivka, Prydniprovske and Krynka in the Kherson region. Information about the victims is currently being verified.

Representatives of the OC South noted that the number of hostile artillery attacks had also increased.

Over the past day, the occupants attacked Kherson 6 times, Antonivka, Chornobaivka, Stepanivka, Stanislav, Tyahyntsi in the Kherson region and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region were also shelled.

During the artillery shelling of the settlements, two civilians were injured, an administrative building, three multi-storey buildings, a dozen private houses, as well as nearby electricity and gas supply lines were damaged.

In addition, the enemy dropped explosives from 11 unmanned aerial vehicles on settlements in the right-bank Kherson region.

According to the press service, four Russian ships are currently on duty in the Black Sea, and another in the Sea of Azov. These enemy combat units are trying to get closer to Novorossiysk. The missile launchers are at their base points.
