During the air alert in Kyiv on December 22, the ceiling collapsed due to a burst pipe in the school's shelter built in 1981, when children were there. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.

Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Timur Tkachenko added that the event's details are already being established. Shortly, an investigative and operative group will work and conduct an examination.
A video of the incident was also published.
Subsequently, the Kyiv Municipal Military Administration (KMMA) specified that the accident occurred in the shelter of one of the schools in the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv. There, the valve of the heating battery broke.
An official investigation will be conducted due to the incident. The shelter is now being examined and prepared for repair. The contracting organization undertook to eliminate the consequences of the accident by the morning of Monday, December 25, with extra-budgetary money.
