The court seized the real estate of former Ukraine's MP Oleh Tsaryov, who is involved in financing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

What is known about the seizure of Oleg Tsaryov's real estate

The total value of a seized property is UAH 460.6 million. It states an apartment in the central part of the Dnipro, a plot of land in the Kyiv region, and two property complexes in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In particular, the sanatorium "Kirov" and the "Estate of Princess Baryatynska" museum, where Tsaryov currently lives. Blocking Tsaryov's assets will prevent their re-registration to other people.

According to the investigation, after the seizure of the Ukrainian peninsula, Tsaryov reorganised his Crimean sanatorium following the legislation of the Russian Federation — that is, he pays taxes to Russia. Also, Tsaryov concluded a contract with the Russian Guard unit to install and maintain technical protection of two Crimean facilities — he spends the money directly on the Russian Guard's accounts.

So the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) informed Tsarev about one more suspicion — for financing actions to change the territory's borders or the state border of Ukraine.

Since the perpetrator is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine, the SSU said.

What is known about Tsarev's collaborator

At the end of June 2014, Tsaryov ran away to the occupied Donbas, where he became the speaker of the "Parliament of the Union of People's Republics" — a body of back-Russian militants which was supposed to unite the "parliaments" of the self-proclaimed "DPR" and "LPR".

During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Tsaryov crossed the state border of Ukraine and drove into the temporarily occupied territory of the Kyiv region to help the Russian occupiers.

In particular, he and other collaborators recorded interviews for Russian propagandists in the temporarily occupied village of Katyuzhanka of Vyshgorod district in the Kyiv region. They talked about Russian soldiers as "liberators from Nazism."

On May 3, 2022, Ukraine sentenced Tsarev in absentia to 12 years in prison. He was found guilty of publicly calling for separatism, the violent change of power and the overthrow of the constitutional order. In May 2023, Tsaryov was suspected of treason — he was the one who gave the Russians data on the results of the missile attack on the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery.

In October 2023, Tsaryov survived an assassination attempt. He was shot in the Kirov sanatorium in Yalta in the Crim,ea temporarily occupied by Russia. The assassination attempt on a collaborator was a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine.
