In Ukraine, the sending of SMS messages for the issuance of e-prescriptions has been resumed. Patients can still obtain the necessary prescription drugs by specifying the prescription number and redemption code.
Ukrainians can once again receive e-prescriptions via SMS
It is noted that recently, due to delays in the work of one of the mobile network operators, temporary changes in the issuance of e-prescriptions were introduced.
Since subscribers can receive SMS messages again, from December 26, 2023, sending SMS messages for e-prescriptions will be carried out in the usual mode, the message says.
To repay e-prescriptions created between December 15 and 25, inclusive, the patient can use the code specified in the informational reference to the prescription. Additional actions from medical professionals are not required.
What has preceded it
Previously, during the restoration of mobile communication, changes were temporarily made to the Electronic Health Care System (EHCS) regarding creating an electronic prescription.
Notifications with the prescription number and code were not sent to patients of all mobile operators. Instead, the information note contained a redemption code required to dispense the medication to a pharmacist in a chemist's shop.
