At an extraordinary meeting, the Ukrainian Government approved an order to provide funds to the Ministry of Defense to strengthen defense capabilities in the frontline regions. UAH 759 million will be allocated to purchase automotive equipment and UAH 29 million to special equipment.

The Cabinet of Ministers will provide funds for the construction of fortifications and demining

At its meeting on December 7, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 788 million for equipment that will help during demining and the construction of fortifications.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported this in Telegram.

At an extraordinary meeting, an order was approved to provide funds to the Ministry of Defense to strengthen defense capabilities in the frontline regions. UAH 759 million will be allocated to the purchase of automotive equipment and UAH 29 million to special equipment, he wrote.

According to Shmyhal, this will make it possible to form additional demining units and speed up the terms of land clearance from mines and shells.

Ukraine will spend $1.5 billion on the production of weapons

The Ukrainian government plans to spend $1.5 billion on producing weapons and equipment in 2024. This is seven times more than last year.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal made such a statement on September 30 at the Defense Industries Forum.

This increase was included in the government's budget project for the following year. Such plans arose because Kyiv uses missiles and drones of domestic production to strike targets on the territory of Russia beyond the front line.

We are launching new productions. We're expanding the ones that gave results to a full scale invasion. We invest in new technologies and new developments. We are ready to help everyone who produces high-quality weapons for our army, Shmyhal said.
