The IDF launched a combat operation in a hospital in Gaza

On the night of November 15, the Israel Defense Forces launched a military operation in the Shifa hospital in Gaza, where the Hamas group is based. The fighters emphasized that they were fighting terrorists, not the civilian population of the city.

This is reported on the IDF channel on Telegram.

The Israeli military noted that the operation was launched “based on intelligence and operational necessity.”

And they emphasized that there are teams of doctors and specialists in their ranks who speak Arabic. These people have undergone special training and aim to protect the civilian population, which Hamas uses as human shields.

After all, terrorists conducting combat operations on the territory of a medical institution endanger its status protected by international law.

Yesterday, the IDF once again informed the relevant authorities in Gaza that all military operations on the hospital's territory must cease within 12 hours. Unfortunately, this did not happen, the message says.

In the end, the IDF once again called on the Hamas terrorists to surrender.

Hamas uses the hospital as a military base

The day before, the Israel Defense Forces reported that Hamas terrorists were using medical facilities in Gaza for military purposes. In particular, a cache of Islamist weapons was discovered under the Rantisi Children's Hospital in Gaza City.

Among the weapons found in the basement of the hospital were suicide vests, grenades, AK-47 assault rifles, explosive devices, RPGs and other weapons. The IDF called this area the command and control center of Hamas.

Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said that Israel continues to find out whether hostages were really held in the hospital and plans to send forensic experts there.

A motorcycle was also found, on which militants probably attacked southern Israel on October 7 and took hostages.

Hagari said patients from the hospital had already been evacuated and called on other Palestinians to leave northern Gaza.
