The spokesperson of Russian President Dmytri Peskov commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's answer to The Sun tabloid regarding the right of Ukraine to eliminate Vladimir Putin if there is such an opportunity because it is about the defence of Ukraine.

He also repeated that the Kremlin is confident that Russia will achieve its goals in the war of aggression against Ukraine.
What Zelenskyy said
Before that, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with The Sun, stated that Russia does not abandon its intentions to remove the Ukrainian president by any means, and Ukraine, in turn, can also eliminate Putin if there is such an opportunity because it is about protecting the country.
When asked whether Ukraine would take the chance to kill Putin if the opportunity arose, Zelenskyy answered: "This is a war, and Ukraine has every right to defend its land."
