For the first time, at the request of public activists, the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic published the list of weapons transferred to Ukraine since the beginning of the criminal war unleashed by the Kremlin.

What is known about the list of military aid to Ukraine from the Czech Republic

According to the published document, in particular, the following was delivered:

  • 4 “units of aviation equipment” (received by the Czech Republic in 2005-2006);

  • 62 tanks (received by the Czech Republic in 1968, 1977, 1985-1989 and 1993);

  • 131 infantry fighting vehicles (1973-1989, 1993 and 1999);

  • 13 self-propelled guns and 12 MRLS of an unnamed type (1980-1986 and 1977-1985, respectively);

  • 16 air defense vehicles (1973-1993).

  • What is wrong with the published list of aid to Ukraine from the Czech Republic

According to the analysts of Defense Express, there are several “mysterious” items in this list that raise questions.

Among other things, it is not clear which tanks of 1968 we are talking about, since the Soviet T-72 tanks began to be serially produced only in 1974.

It is also unclear what kind of “aviation equipment” of 2005-2006. The mass media assume that this is one of the modifications of the Mi-24, the delivery of which was announced last summer.

At the same time, the journalists note that the given list is smaller than what was actually transferred by the Czech Republic over the past year and a half.

Defense Express assumes that this list includes only what was transmitted through the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic within the framework of intergovernmental contacts with Ukraine. For example, according to the calculations of the Oryx project, only T-72 tanks of about 100 units and up to 30 MLRS of various types were to be transferred to the Czech Republic.
