The Ministers of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Poland met in Warsaw to discuss the issue of unblocking the Ukrainian border, which is blocked by Polish truckers.
Kubrakov met with the new Minister of Infrastructure of Poland
Ukrainian Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov and his Polish counterpart Dariusz Klimczak presented figures and analytics of traffic between Ukraine and Poland.
Polish colleagues highlighted their arguments and figures about the market. We are continuing our work in Kyiv with representatives of the Polish government this week. I'm grateful for the willingness and readiness to work together to solve problems.
The minister noted that the number of supplies increased in the partial blockade of deep-sea ports. Transportation of fuel, humanitarian goods, and grain takes a significant share.
The meeting also raised the issue of creating a separate electronic queue for empty trucks on "Yagodyn — Dorogusk".
We've suggested this before — we did. From Monday, registration in a separate queue began, but obviously the impact of this decision cannot be seen, because the border is completely blocked (only three trucks left Yagodin in a day!).
Blockade of the Ukrainian border: what is known
As of December 19, more than 3,300 trucks were standing in queues at the border with Poland. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the checkpoints have the following number of trucks: Sheghyni – 1,000, Rava-Ruska – 350, Krakow – 550, and Yagodyn – 1,400 trucks.
On December 11, the movement of trucks through the checkpoint "Yagodyn — Dorogusk" was unblocked. However, on December 18, Polish truckers renewed the blockade at the border at the Dorogusk—Yagodyn border crossing.
On November 6, Polish truckers blocked three checkpoints for the passage of trucks on the border with Ukraine: "Korchova — Krakovets", "Grebenne — Rava-Ruska", and "Dorogusk — Yagodyn".
They demand the return of cargo transportation permits for Ukrainian transport companies.
