The Disinformation Centre of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine has denied rumours about the mobilisation of Ukrainian women, saying that this is another Russian propaganda. As noted earlier, there is no forced mobilisation of women in our country.
There is no forced mobilization of women in Ukraine
According to representatives of the NSDC, discussions among MPs in the Verkhovna Rada are commonplace, and every MP has the right to express their opinion, even on the mobilisation of women.
However, it is important to understand that today in Ukraine only women doctors are required to register for military service.
The NSDC also draws attention to the fact that service for women in the Defense Forces of Ukraine is exclusively voluntary.
It is no secret that the Parliament is still debating changes to the legislation on mobilisation, demobilisation and conscription.
What is important against the background of the active discussion of mobilization in Ukraine:
Such discussions, during which individual MPs have the opportunity to express their own views on the matter and make suggestions, are quite normal in a democratic country.
Such disputes and discussions should result in a draft law that takes into account the interests of both the state and the Armed Forces, as well as citizens.
Today, there is no question of forced mobilisation of women. This is a voluntary process, the Central Committee reminds us.
