According to Sybiga, "according to diplomatic practice, certain procedures must take place after the approval of the candidate and after that, the formal finale of this story is the presidential decree on the appointment of the ambassador, which will take place after receiving the agreement of the British side."

Appointment of Zaluzhny as ambassador of Ukraine to Britain

On March 7, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, approved Zaluzhnyi's candidacy for the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain.

The president said that diplomatic work is an initiative of Zaluzhnyi.

Now the British government must agree to accept Zaluzhnyi as the head of the Ukrainian embassy.

We will remind that on February 8, Valery Zaluzhnyi left the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

ZN.UA cites sources and claims that after being dismissed from his post, Zaluzhny was placed under the command of the Minister of Defense by the president's decision.

Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov did not offer Zaluzhny "any significant military position with an adequate level of training and experience, as President Zelenskyi did not offer it before."

The publication declares that against the background of these conditions, General Zaluzhnyi decided to resign from military service in order to "have the opportunity and the right to do something else."
