On Tuesday, January 9, the weather in Ukraine will be affected by an anticyclone, which will cause frosty but dry weather with sunny spells.

A powerful Hannelore anticyclone will come to Ukraine

Anticyclone Hannelore will push all precipitation out of our territory on Tuesday, and tomorrow afternoon we will even be dazzled by the sun. Snow and sleet will linger only at night and in the morning in the south, with rain in the south of Crimea, Natalka Didenko said.

According to the forecaster, the cold, frosty weather on January 9 will continue. So, the air temperature will be -10...-18 degrees in the coming night. In places in the north and west, it will get colder to -18...-22 degrees.

Tomorrow afternoon, -7...-12 degrees is expected, but it will be higher in the southern part: at night -6...-11, during the day -2...-6 degrees, in Crimea at night -1...-4 degrees, around zero during the day.

According to Natalka Didenko, the cold sun will shine tomorrow afternoon in Kyiv. Low air temperature is expected from -12 to -15 degrees at night because anticyclonic clearings will incentivise additional cooling. A temperature from -10 to -12 degrees is expected in the capital during the day.

Bad weather in Ukraine

According to the Ministry of Energy, almost 400 Ukraine settlements remained without electricity this morning. The reason is worsening weather conditions.

The most challenging situation is observed in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where more than 200 settlements are without electricity.
