Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė arrived on a working visit to Kyiv on Friday, November 24.

The head of the Lithuanian government first honoured the memory of Ukrainian defenders who died in the war against Russian aggression. She also published the corresponding photos.

At my first stop in Kyiv today, I paid respects to men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the most fundamental rights of a nation: to exist and to live in freedom. They gave their lives to also defend all of us, Šimonytė said.

According to her, the only way to achieve a lasting and just peace is to help Ukraine win as soon as possible, restore its complete territorial integrity, establish international justice and rebuild it to become even stronger.

Visit of the Lithuanian PM to Ukraine

Earlier, we reported that the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, would visit Ukraine on a multi-day working visit.

According to mass media, Šimonytė left Lithuania for Ukraine yesterday afternoon. The visit of the Prime Minister of Lithuania to Ukraine will last until Sunday.

The program of her visit to Ukraine has not yet been announced.

Aid to Ukraine from Lithuania

Lithuania is one of Ukraine's allies, which helps Kyiv with weapons and military equipment and trains the Ukrainian military.

It was recently reported that Lithuania delivered another military aid package to Ukraine for the Armed Forces.

Also, on November 17, Lithuania handed Ukraine a new package of military aid. It included a batch of generators, field beds and dry rations.
