What is known about Iran's supply of attack drones to Russia

The Prosecutor General's Office, referring to the results of the examination, noted that the Shahed-131\136 attack drones that Russia has been using to shell Ukraine since September 2022 are manufactured by the Iranian state aircraft manufacturer named Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company.

The conclusions of expert studies were obtained, according to which the UAV marked "Geranium-2" was identified as a Shahed-136 kamikaze attack UAV. Another seized sample with the marking "Geranium-1" was identified as a "Shahed-131" kamikaze UAV. The developer and manufacturer of these UAVs is the Iranian Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HESA) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.

According to the publication, this is the first law enforcement data that may indicate Iran's involvement in the production of UAVs.

What is known about the receipt of other types of Russian air defence systems from Iran

Back in January this year, the Department for Investigation of Crimes Committed by Persons Fighting Crimes in the Context of Armed Conflict of the PGO told Suspilne that they could not determine the country of origin of the drones, the supply routes, the place of manufacture and other details, but would try to establish this.

After conducting examinations, it will be possible to obtain information about the use of new types of drones, including Italmas or others. The pre-trial investigation in the mentioned criminal proceedings continues, the General Prosecutor's Office added.
