According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the issue of recalling Bezugla from the post of deputy head of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada will be voted on in the country's highest legislative body on January 10. The Regulatory Committee of the Verkhovna Rada made a relevant decision.
The Verkhovna Rada to consider the issue of Bezugla's withdrawal from her post
The Regulation Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the draft resolution on Mariana Bezugla's withdrawal from the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
A "Voice" faction MP, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, reported this on Telegram and published photos of the regulatory committee's conclusion.
According to him, "the decision was made unanimously. Accordingly, the parliament can consider the resolution already on January 10."
Zheleznyak added that the decision would be submitted to the parliament's session hall, and Bezugla remained a defence committee member.
The Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported Bezugla's withdrawal from the post of deputy chairman
On January 5, the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence supported MP Bezugla's withdrawal (Servant of the People faction) from the position of deputy chairman of the committee.
Bezugla distinguished herself with many scandalous statements. In particular, she accuses the higher military command of the lack of a plan for further military operations, states that the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, should resign, and also disseminates controversial information about the development of a renewed mobilisation policy in Ukraine.
Bezugla's statements provoked an adverse reaction from society, and people's deputies repeatedly registered in the parliament draft resolutions on her recall from leadership positions in the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
