According to the OSTG "Tavria" spokesman, Oleksandr Shtupun, the Russian invaders are currently actively shelling Ukrainian military positions with artillery and using aviation.
In the Avdiiv region, as well as in the entire operational zone of the Tavria air defense system, the Russian occupiers have somewhat reduced the number of infantry attacks, but for the second day in a row they are very active in airstrikes and shelling our positions with artillery, Shtupun notes.
According to him, the most active offensive enemy actions are recorded in the regions of Avdiivka and Mariinka in the Donetsk region.
The OSTG "Tavria" spokesman also explained the reduction in the number of infantry assaults by the Russian occupiers.
When the enemy takes a good beating, he should regroup, lick his wounds, pull up some reserves in order to continue moving forward. And at this time, artillery training is being conducted and the number of missile and airstrikes is increasing, Shtupun emphasizsed.
What is known about the situation in the Zaporizhzhia region and in the south of Ukraine
The OSTG "Tavria" spokesman denied a breakthrough in the Vervove district of the Zaporizhzhia region but confirmed the restriction of the advance of the Ukrainian military.
He noted that successes were achieved instead at the tactical level.
Let's just say this is some improvement in our tactical position. That is, there is no big breakthrough, Shtupun explained.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian military continues to carry out combat missions in Robotyne and its surroundings. Still, the Russian occupiers are trying to regain the positions lost before this, not allowing the Armed Forces to advance.
All the time he is trying to attack somewhere in different directions, Shtupun said.
He added that the occupiers currently do not have the strength to recapture all the lost positions in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.
At the same time, according to representatives of the Operational and Strategic Command of the Defense Forces "South", the criminal army of the Russian Federation does not stop trying to deprive the Ukrainian military of a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
During the day, the enemy carried out nine unsuccessful assaults. Our units continue their work on the expansion of the bridgehead and continue to hold their positions, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupiers, the message of the OSTG "South" noted.
Instead, the troops of the occupiers continued to conduct aerial reconnaissance, try to pressurize with artillery fire, and use strike drones on front-line settlements, as noted in OC "South".
Ukrainian defenders continue to inflict fire damage on the locations of the invaders, firing positions and rears, the department writes.
The losses of the occupiers on the left bank in the Kherson region during the day amounted to:
16 war criminals;
two air defense systems "Buk-M3";
one EW system "Yastrub-AM";
one ZALA reconnaissance UAV;
five kamikaze drones "Lancet";
one gun;
two mortars;
four units of automotive equipment.
The defenders also destroyed a Russian field supply point.
