The enemy in the south continues to strengthen the fortifications of its positions. In particular, he is pulling up reserves and controlling the actions of our defenders on the right bank.

What is the situation in the southern sector

In the area of responsibility of the "South" operational and tactical group, the enemy continues to strengthen the fortification of positions and pull up reserves.

The Russian army is also observing the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the right bank and continues to use artillery fire, actively using drones.

The operational command adds that there are currently no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.

Meanwhile, our defenders continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro river and inflict fire on Russian terrorists.

There are 3 warships of the enemy fleet at sea, 2 of which are in the Black Sea and 1 in the Sea of Azov. The missile carriers have been redeployed to their basing points, the operational command said.

The US warned of a sharp increase in the Russian army's offensive

The team of the Institute for War Studies draws attention to the fact that the Russian army has launched offensive operations in many parts of the frontline in the most difficult weather conditions of the autumn-winter season.

The occupiers want to seize and hold the initiative until the presidential elections in Russia in March 2024.

According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian military is conducting offensive operations on most of the frontline in Ukraine, in particular on the border of the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, near Bakhmut and in the direction of Avdiivka, and is conducting continuous ground attacks in the western part of Zaporizhzhia region.
