The situation near Kupyansk

Kupyansk and part of the border areas of the Kharkiv region were captured by the Russians in the first weeks of the full-scale invasion. These territories were liberated during the Ukrainian counteroffensive in autumn 2022.

Currently, the occupiers are continuing their attempts to capture Kupyansk in order to create a "buffer zone" around the Luhansk region. Our military are preventing the enemy from advancing.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two local residents in the village of Podoly near Kupiansk were killed in another criminal attack by the Russian army.

According to the agency, the explosion occurred at 16:40. As a result, a private house and cars were damaged.
