According to the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykola Oleschuk, the Ukrainian military has not observed any aircraft of the Russian army on the eastern front since the evening after the downing of the enemy Su-34.

What is known about the termination of Russia's use of aviation in the east after the loss of the Su-34

Oleschuk emphasized that since 19:00 on March 2, not a single plane of the Russian invaders has been recorded on the eastern front after the Ukrainian military shot down the enemy Su-34.

Around 22:40, the commander of the air force noticed that enemy drones were "flying" in the south, but no activity of Russian aircraft was noticed in the east.

How the loss of a large number of aircraft affects the combat capability of the Russian army

On the evening of March 2, Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk announced that the Ukrainian military had once again shot down a Russian Su-34 with the help of anti-aircraft guided missiles.

The Russians, unfortunately, managed to save another Su-35 fighter from being hit.

In addition, the "airdrop" is physically in our favor, because these are modern Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft, not to mention the A-50, the number of which can be counted on the fingers. We are reducing the potential of the Russians in the air, where they have an advantage, - Roman Kostenko, secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, said in a comment to Channel 24 journalists.

Kostenko emphasized that the destruction of a large number of Russian aircraft will significantly limit the occupiers' use of aerial bombs.

The People's Deputy emphasized that due to strong Western sanctions, the Russians are unable to produce more than 5-6 Su-34s per year.

At the same time, he noted that these are far from the S-34 that Russia was able to produce, without problems buying the necessary components from other countries.

There is another side - the pilots who die. And Russia has a problem with pilots. The more often we destroy them, the less trained pilots will come, and there will be more opportunities to destroy them further. A large number of pilots were affected, their survivability is very low when our complexes are operating, Kostenko emphasized.
