Russian occupants began massively building up defensive structures at the entrance to the temporarily occupied Mariupol in the Donetsk region.
What is known about the situation in Mariupol
According to Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, the occupiers are currently restoring defensive structures and they are in a combat condition.
He also suggested that "the battle for Mariupol will not be easy, but it will definitely happen".
In Mariupol, Russians deploy troops to two areas at once
The occupiers have begun to actively redeploy manpower. This movement is taking place in two directions at once - to the north of Donetsk region and towards Berdyansk.
According to Andriushchenko, this movement is observed in two directions at once:
to the north of the Donetsk region in the direction of Volnovakha from Berdyansk (mostly trucks with up to 12 people, partly with the MT-12 Rapira (a 100 mm towed anti-tank guns);
in the direction of Berdiansk (air defence systems, trucks with combat systems and ineering equipment).
In addition, preparations are underway for the next deployment of manpower reserves to the Mariupol region and the increase of the occupation corps in Mariupol itself.
