The chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), Kyrylo Budanov, was again "arrested" in absentia in the Russian Federation. This time, he is accused of committing 104 "terrorist attacks".
Budanov was again "arrested" in the Russian Federation
A court in Moscow arrested in absentia the DIU chief Kyrylo Budanov on charges of organizing terrorist attacks.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation accused the DIU chief of committing 104 terrorist attacks.
In particular, the Russians accuse Budanov of two episodes: a "terrorist attack by a group of individuals with significant losses" and another "terrorist attack by a group of individuals." The Basmanny Court of Moscow made the decision.
We are talking about articles listed by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in October, accusing Budanov of "involvement in drone attacks."
This is not the first "arrest" of Budanov
This absentee "arrest" of the head of Ukrainian military intelligence is already the second. In April 2023, he was "arrested" in absentia by the Lefortovo Court in the case of the explosion on the Crimean Bridge.
Then, the FSB requested the arrest of Budanov. In this case, he was accused of creating a so-called "terrorist community", committing "terrorist acts" by a group of individuals, and storing weapons and explosives.
In addition, in December, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation declared Budanov "wanted".
The article for which he is wanted was not specified.
