At least 19 Russian sailors were injured and 33 are considered missing after the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the landing ship "Novocherkassk" in the port of temporarily occupied Feodosia.

According to the publication, at the time of the attack on the night of December 26, there were 77 sailors on the ship. In addition to the missing, 19 sailors were injured.

The pseudo-head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, previously reported on one dead and four injured civilians as a result of the attack in the port.

The fact that there were sailors on board the ship "Novocherkask" at the time of the attack was previously also reported by the Russian publication "Agentstvo".

What is known about the damage to the ship "Novocherkassk"

At 3:00 a.m. on December 26, explosions rang out in the Feodosia region of occupied Crimea. It was reported that a ship allegedly carrying Iranian ammunition was blown up, and a fire broke out in the port.

The commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk, confirmed that Ukrainian defenders blew up the large Russian amphibious assault ship "Novocherkask" in occupied Feodosia.

Later, it became known that cruise missiles launched by AFU Air Force tactical aviation destroyed the "Novocherkassk" ship.

The ship contained "Shahed" kamikaze drones, which the Russian army uses for attacks on Ukrainian cities.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that the large landing ship "Novocherkassk" was damaged in Feodosia "during the repulse of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine using air-guided missiles."

According to the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense, "During the anti-aircraft battle, two Ukrainian Su-24s, which were launching missiles, were destroyed by air defense means." The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied this.
