As a result of a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine on the Baikal-Amur railway line in the Russian Federation, another train with fuel exploded.

What is known about the second special operation in Russia

The detonation was the second stage of the SSU special operation to disable this vital railway line. The Russians use it, including for military logistics.

So, the first freight train exploded directly in the Severomuysky tunnel. To continue the movement, the Russians began to use the detour that passes through the "Devil's Bridge".

This is exactly what the SSU was counting on: during the passage of the train over this 35-meter high bridge, the explosive devices embedded in it went off, sources said.

According to the Russian Telegram channels, six tanks caught fire from the explosion. Even a fire engine arrived to put out the fire.

What is known about "Devil's Bridge"

Devil's Bridge is a semicircular viaduct on the Northern bypass of the Baikal-Amur highway. It was built in 1986, but permanent train traffic began in 1989. It passes over the Itikit River. The height reaches 35 meters.

Located on characteristic double-decker piers, it is the only bridge of this design in Russia. According to data from open sources, the bridge wobbles a bit when heavy trains pass over it (since 2002, such trains have not crossed the bridge; only work trains run, and the primary traffic goes through the Northern Tunnel). Therefore, he enjoys a "bad reputation among drivers" and is afraid to drive over the bridge.

On November 30, sources reported an explosion on the Baikal-Amur highway, which is located in Buryatia. It was a successful operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, which paralyzed the only railway communication between the Russian Federation and China. It is used, in particular, for military supplies.

It was about the explosion in the Severomuy tunnel. According to the source, four explosive devices went off while the freight train was moving in the tunnel. In the Russian Federation, they first said that the fire allegedly occurred in the tunnel due to "shorting of the cable network".
