German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that the second Patriot system, which his country handed over to Kyiv, will be deployed in Ukraine this year.
Scholz said this on December 13 in the Bundestag, DPA/AFX reports
Scholz noted that Ukraine's ability to defend itself against "swarms" of Russian drones and missiles has improved and added that a second Patriot air defence system provided by Germany will be deployed in Ukraine this year.
Also, according to him, armoured vehicles, ammunition and winter protective clothing for the Ukrainian armed forces will be provided, as well as electric generators to overcome the electricity shortage.

At the same time, Breuer added that German industry is currently increasing production.
Germany has become one of the countries that help Ukraine, providing military, political and financial support. Berlin offered several types of artillery, Leopard tanks of older and new modifications, IRIS-T and Patriot air defence systems, ammunition, cars, drones and other weapons.
On December 9, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany would support Ukraine in the war if others weakened.
