Great Britain announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, including anti-tank weapons.

What is known about the new package of military aid from Britain

Today I can announce a new batch of 200 Brimstone anti-tank missiles as a further strengthening of the defense of Ukraine, — says the statement of British Secretary of Defence Grant Shapps.

Shapps noted that at one time, these missiles had a significant impact on the situation in the criminal war launched by Russia against Ukraine, forcing the Russian occupiers to abandon offensive actions and move one of the rivers.

He also added that Great Britain will train an additional number of Ukrainian troops together with other allies, adding that together they will train another 10,000 people in the first half of 2024.

Shapps noted that Britain always looks for the best way to educate people. He hoped this would continue and added that three countries joined the training: France, Estonia and Latvia.

How the war in Ukraine forced Britain to increase investment in its armed forces

According to Sky News, the British government plans to invest $5.7 billion in the production of drones for its military.

The decision was made based on lessons learned from the war in Ukraine.

It is noted that the drone strategy will involve all branches of the British armed forces experimenting with unmanned systems, testing and evaluating their effectiveness.

The conflict in Ukraine has become an incubator for new ways of waging war, and we must learn and implement these hard lessons. The rapid ability to develop and modernise unmanned systems will be a key factor in gaining an advantage on the battlefield... After all, it is about learning the lessons from the Ukrainian front, explains Minister of State for Defence Procurement, James Cartlidge.
