The checkpoint "Dorogusk —Yagodyn" is blocked again

The movement of trucks at the "Dorogusk—Yagodyn" checkpoint on the border of Poland and Ukraine was blocked today, December 18, in the afternoon. This happened because of a new protest action by Polish truckers.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) reported this on Facebook.

Today, after 3:00 p.m., Polish carriers started a protest action on the approach roads to the "Dorogusk—Yagodyn" checkpoint. Information about its beginning was received from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, the SBGS said in a statement.

It is specified there that the organizers of the protest want to let only one truck through per hour. At the same time, they will miss humanitarian and military aid, as well as trucks with animals and perishable goods.

The border guards specify that the protesters do not want to obstruct the movement of buses.

Blockade of the border with Ukraine

Since the beginning of November, Polish carriers have been starting a strike at several checkpoints on the Ukrainian border. They demand that the EU cancel "transport visa-free" with our country.

Last week, on Monday, protesters stopped blocking the "Yagodyn—Dorogusk" checkpoint.

The local authorities banned strikes there, but later, the court overturned this decision.
