The World Bank

The World Bank allocates an additional $1.34 billion to Ukraine. These funds, in particular, will be directed to social benefits.

Ukraine will receive additional funds from the World Bank

Ukraine will receive $1.34 billion from the World Bank for priority state budget expenditures.

This funding package is allocated within the Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE) project. The money will be used to pay pensions, teachers' salaries, support IDPs, etc.

The central part of this financing package — $1.086 billion — is the funds of the Japanese government. Others are grants from the USA, Switzerland and the Fund for Support, Reconstruction and Reform of Ukraine (URTF).

The financial assistance of international partners gives us the opportunity to ensure the macro-financial stability of Ukraine and direct all internal resources to the needs of our army, the head of the Ukrainian government emphasized.

The IMF transferred the third tranche of $900 million to Ukraine

On December 14, Ukraine received the third tranche of financing for about 900 million dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) within the framework of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.

The Ministry of Finance notes that the funds are the result of a successful second review of the EFF program by the IMF Executive Board.

According to Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko, support from the Fund will help finance priority expenditures of the state budget timely and ensure macroeconomic stability in martial law conditions.

Ukraine has already attracted about 4.5 billion US dollars from the 15.6 billion US dollars provided for in the program.
