After the opening of the Yagodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint on December 11, Polish carriers reported that traffic was now blocked by an allegedly broken truck.
Polish truckers closed the Yagodyn — Dorogusk highway
The leader of the Polish protesters, Rafal Mekler, said that the protest in Dorohusk was over, but "unfortunately, the truck blocked the road. She stood for too long."
He added that more and more protesters were arriving in Dorogusk and announced a "long night".
In a comment to Ukrainian Pravda, the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine confirmed that as of 8:00 p.m., there is a truck on the highway from the Polish checkpoint Dorogusk, which is preventing traffic from crossing the border into Ukraine.
Russian Involvement in the blockade of Ukrainian borders: what is known
Investigators from the Guildhall news agency draw attention to the fact that the official organizer of the border blockade between Poland and Ukraine is Polish citizen Rafal Mekler, owner of the transport company Rafał Mekler Transport.
According to them, Rafal Makler represents the pro-Russian party "Confederation of Freedom and Independence" branch in the Lublin Voivodeship. This political force is closely related to the Russian Federation.
For example, party leader Janusz Korvin-Mikke demanded recognition of the occupation of Crimea and visited the peninsula in 2015, where he held a meeting with Kremlin protege Serhii Aksyonov.
On November 16, the organizers of the action and the co-founder of the Confederation of Freedom and Independence and the leader of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, Grzegorz Braun, held a meeting at the Polish checkpoint "Korchów".
Braun was the only member of the Polish Seimas who opposed the resolution condemning the Russian terror in Buch. He is the author of the slogan "Stop the Ukrainization of Poland."
