Verkhovna Rada appointed the head of Rivne RMA Vitaliy Koval as the new State Property Fund chief

Vitaliy Koval

The Verkhovna Rada appointed the current head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Koval, as the new chief of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

Vitaly Koval became the head of the State Property Fund

279 parliamentarians voted for this appointment.

Back in September 2019, Vitaliy Koval was appointed to the post of head of the Rivne Regional State Administration. Before that, he worked in the banking sector (2004-2006) and headed agricultural, transport and construction enterprises (2006-2019).

Koval is a member of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the first vice-president of the Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation of Ukraine and the vice-president of the Ukrainian Wrestling Association.

Personnel rotations

Until September 2023, the head of the State Property Fund was Rustem Umierov. During personnel rotations, he assumed the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Instead, the chair of the head of the SPF was offered to the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Olga Pishchanska.

According to the deputies, Pishchanska refused the new position. She submitted an application to the Council for dismissal from the AMCU [Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine - Ed.]. Still, the rest of the candidates are now being considered for the position of head of the State Property Fund.

The new chief of the Antimonopoly Committee has become the head of Donetsk RMA Pavlo Kyrylenko instead of Mrs Pishchanska.
