Official Paris has accused Russia of launching a disinformation campaign that consists of spreading on social media images of David's stars that appeared on houses in the French capital earlier this week.

A new conflict broke out between France and the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France noticed that the Russian propaganda network Recent Reliable News/Doppelganger artificially inflated and distributed photos with pictures of the David stars on social networks.

This is a new operation of Russian online interference against France, which reflects a constant opportunistic and irresponsible strategy of using international crises to create confusion and tension in public debates in France and in Europe, French diplomats emphasize.

The Russian embassy in Paris immediately reacted to these accusations.

There, they immediately rejected these accusations and began to claim that official Moscow had nothing to do with it and that these were attempts to “discredit” the aggressor country.

As mentioned earlier, French investigators are considering the possibility that the Russian authorities are behind dozens of drawings of the Star of David on houses in Paris.

Anti-Semitism has intensified in Europe

It is important to understand that after the invasion of Israel by Hamas terrorists, 887 events and incidents of an anti-Semitic nature were recorded in France, in connection with which more than 400 people were detained.

Moreover, the authorities of the European Union began to sound the alarm because of the extraordinary level of the surge of anti-Semitism in Europe.

In these difficult times, the EU supports its Jewish communities. We condemn these heinous acts in the strongest possible terms. They go against what Europe stands for. Against our core values and our way of life, the statement said.
