According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the previous government, led by Mateusz Morawiecki, used and flirted with anti-Ukrainian sentiment during the elections.

What is known about the attempts of the previous Polish government to play on anti-Ukrainian sentiments

At the same time, the current head of the Polish government stated that he would not hesitate to make important decisions regarding Ukraine.

He accused representatives of the previous government from the Law and Justice party of flirting with Ukraine.

Because when it comes to the war and our commitment, as well as that of the entire Western world, to Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia, there can be no doubt about it," Tusk said.

He stressed that the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation allows Poland to feel relatively safe.

I will never allow anyone in my government to base their position on such anti-Ukrainian sentiments. Because when it comes to the war and our commitment, as well as that of the entire Western world, to Ukraine in its confrontation with Russia, there can be no doubt about it. Ukraine needs help from us and the whole world in its war with Russia. Because, in fact, as long as Ukraine is at war with Russia, we are relatively safe," Tusk said.

He promised to oppose any discrediting statements about Ukraine's aid.

The official believes that Europe should invest more money in arms and defence, given that Russia has successfully shifted its economy to a "military mode".

We cannot pretend that nothing is happening. There can be no hesitation in arming and supporting Ukraine in the war. For me, this is an indisputable fact," Tusk said.
