Official London increases the pressure on Germany against the background of the lack of a decision on the provision of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz came under an even greater barrage of criticism from British government officials.
UK criticises Scholz for refusing to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine
According to Bloomberg, the British authorities have tried to convince Berlin to approve a favourable decision regarding Ukraine finally, but to no avail.
Germany should stop making excuses, — one of the insiders of the information agency was indignant.
Official London is known to have proposed solutions to overcome Germany's resistance to providing missiles, including an exchange agreement under which Britain would supply Kyiv with more of its own Storm Shadow missiles, and Germany would, in return, give Britain long-range missiles in exchange.
Scholz's behaviour showed that from the point of view of European security, he was not the right person, in the wrong position and at the wrong time.

Former British MOD chief
Alicia Kearns, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons, also shared her opinion on this matter.
According to her, Scholz's statements are incorrect and irresponsible.
This is a slap in the face to the Allies... Scholz should give Taurus and stop restraining the security of Europe, she stressed.
Why Scholz is blocking the supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine
Recently, German leader Olaf Scholz again rejected the idea of providing Taurus missiles to the Armed Forces.
He states that this would allegedly mean Germany would become a party to the war with Russia.
Germany cannot give Ukraine a weapon with a range of 500 km, which, if misused, can reach the target in Moscow.

According to him, what official London and Paris do regarding target control and accompanying target control cannot be done in Germany.
