Over the past month, the number of cases of Russian aircraft dropping bombs on its territory has increased. This demonstrates the degree of staff fatigue and insufficient training.

UK intelligence explained why the Russian Air Force dropped bombs on its cities

The summary notes that the Russian independent Telegram Astra news channel reported on January 27 that Russian aircraft accidentally fired two FAB-250 unguided munitions at two Russian villages in the Belgorod region.

The first munition fell on a farm in Postnikov and the second on a city street in the village of Streletskoye, which led to the evacuation of up to 150 people within a radius of 500 meters.

According to British intelligence, this is the fourth accidental drop of Russian aviation munitions on its territory this month. The earliest case occurred in Belgorod on April 20, 2023.

It cannot be confirmed whether such incidents occur due to poor procedures when arming the aircraft prior to sorties or poor execution by aircrew during missions. It's likely a combination of both. The increasing frequency of such occurences likely demonstrates a degree of air and ground crew fatigue within the Russian front line, aw well as exposing inadequate training, — the British Ministry of Defense notes.
