The destruction of the large landing assault ship "Ceasar Kunikov" will further limit Russia's logistical capabilities in the Black Sea.

The destruction of the ship "Cesar Kunikov" will reduce limited Russian resources

It is emphasised in the summary that on February 14, Ukrainian forces conducted a successful attack by naval drones on the Russian Ropucha-class large landing ship "Caesar Kunikov", which almost certainly led to the sinking of the vessel. In total, three Ropucha-class ships were destroyed as a result of Ukrainian strikes.

According to British intelligence, the ship is actively used for logistical support of the Black Sea Fleet and Russia's war against Ukraine.

In addition, the loss of the vessel will almost undoubtedly further limit Russia's limited resources in the Black Sea and make the Black Sea Fleet's logistics chain vulnerable to additional attacks.

The intelligence report said it would further reduce the reserves needed for transportation between mainland Russia and the Crimean peninsula when the Kerch Bridge is closed.

The ingenuity of Ukraine has lighly likely deterred Russia from operating freely in the western Black Sea and enabled Ukraine to seize the maritime momentum from Russia, — the British Ministry of Defense notes.
