Ukraine and Estonia signed an important defence memorandum

The memorandum aims to support and develop partnership relations between the defence industries of Ukraine and Estonia, in particular, in the direction of defence innovations.

This is reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine on Facebook.

The interstate document was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who visited Estonia on a working visit, and the Estonian PM Kaja Kallas.

It is noted that the memorandum aims to support and develop partnership relations between the defence industries of the two states, in particular, in the direction of defence innovations.

It is about the development and production of autonomous systems, means of radio-electronic warfare, and integrated solutions, the Office of the President explained.

The parties will work to ensure the achievement of technological superiority of the Ukrainian army in the war for freedom and independence, the statement said.

It is also noted that cooperation and the initiation of joint production in Ukraine "should create opportunities for the Ukrainian and Estonian defence industry to most effectively meet the needs of the Defense Forces."

Zelenskyy's visit to Estonia

Today, January 11, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Estonia and held several important meetings.

The Estonian MFA chief, Margus Tsahkna, was the first to announce the visit of Ukraine's President.

Moreover, the Ukrainian MFA chief, Dmytro Kuleba, arrived in Tallinn with the head of state.

During a joint briefing, the head of the Estonian state, Alar Karis, stated that in Russia's war against Ukraine, strikes on the territory of the aggressor country could not be avoided, and there should be no restrictions on weapons transferred to Ukraine by partners.
