During Feb.2024, Ukraine exported a record cargo volume through the sea corridor, which amounts to 8 million tons.

Ukraine's exports via the sea corridor continue increasing

the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, notes the total volume of exports since the beginning of the "grain corridor" has reached 28 million tons.

The cargo turnover of the ports of Greater Odesa in the shortest month of the year was 8 million tons, of which 5.2 million tons were products of Ukrainian farmers. These are record export figures through the Ukrainian corridor and during a full-scale invasion.

He says exports through the Black Sea ports are gradually returning to pre-war indicators.

Oleksandr Kubrakov also emphasised that 19 million tons of total are grain and oil. It is essential to understand that the cargo was destined for 42 countries.

The Minister underlines that over 90% of all agricultural exports go through the Great Odesa and the Danube ports.

Ukraine remains one of the key guarantors of food security. Especially with regard to grain exports to African and Asian countries, Oleksandr Kubrakov stressed.

Ukraine's Sea exports in January reached the pre-war level

Ukrainian PM Denys Shmyhal recently reported that Ukraine reached pre-war sea export volumes in January thanks to the functioning of the Ukrainian maritime corridor.

The Ukrainian maritime logistics corridor has been operating for six months. Half a year ago, we lifted the blockade of the Black Sea and intensified Ukrainian maritime trade, he said.

In addition, it is emphasised that, in parallel, it was possible to launch a project related to the insurance of exports against military risks, namely the insurance of ships entering Ukrainian ports.

Denys Shmyhal also noted that as of January 2024, more than 660 ships have already passed through the new grain corridor.
