What is known about the details of the repulse of the Russian Army UAV attack on Ukraine during the night

At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 10 Shahed-136/131 unmanned aerial vehicles. Five attack drones were destroyed by our air defence systems, the General Staff said in a statement.

At night, explosions were heard in Khmelnytsky region. The Air Force of the AFU reported strike drones in the region.

What is known about the situation in the south of Ukraine

According to Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the Joint Press Centre of the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces, Russian war criminals attacked the Kherson region with drones and artillery at night.

The attack was focused more on the frontline territory in the Kherson region, and it was not possible to avoid the strike.

It was impossible to avoid being hit there, because the enemy was firing very hard with these barrage shells. But the hits were mainly in those settlements where almost everything had been destroyed. The enemy just continues the terror. In Kherson itself, there were hits to the administrative building of an enterprise and several cars. But fortunately, there was no information about the victims, said Humeniuk.

At around 04:30, Russians shelled the region with artillery. The consequences of the strikes are currently being investigated. In particular, our military shot down a Shahed drone over the Mykolaiv region and two more over the Kherson region.

The attack lasted almost 4 hours. The length of the attack is explained by the fact that the Russians tried to bypass the defence and air defence systems in the south.
