On Feb. 29, Ukrainian troops destroyed two more Russian Su-34 aircraft in the Avdiivka and Mariupol directions.

The defence forces shot down the Su-34

The commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleschuk, reported that on February 29, around 9:00 a.m., two more Su-34s of the invaders were destroyed in the Avdiyiv and Mariupol directions.

It seems they don't get it! Russian pilots make no conclusions!

Earlier, on the night of February 29, the AFU shot down one Russian Su-34 aircraft in the east.

The total number of downed Russian aircraft by the Ukrainian Armed Forces sequals three in a day.

A downing of Russian planes

For the last ten days, the Armed Forces shot down 10 Russian military aircraft, including nine Su-34 and Su-35.

In total, AFU also shot down one Su-35 fighter, one Su-35C and an A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft in February.

The Air Force speaker Yurii Ignat says that more and more means are appearing in Ukraine to catch Russian planes on distant approaches. The absence of A-50 reconnaissance aircraft in the airspace also helps.

The Air Force manages to shoot down enemy planes at long distances. They stray pretty far... That is, Russian pilots are no longer so bold. They no longer fly so close.
