The editors of the Forbes publication draw attention to how the Air Force of Ukraine manages to quickly and effectively destroy Russian aviation. Despite this, it is quite possible that soon Ukraine will run out of missiles for new successful operations.

AFU's successes in protecting the sky cannot be ignored

As American journalists remember, it took only five days for Ukraine's Air Force fighters to destroy 7 Russian fighters.

What is essential to understand is that Russian Sus most often drops guided aerial bombs on Ukraine, the radius of which reaches 40 km.

It iscomplicatedt for Ukrainian defenders to reach enemy aircraft at such a distance, but such a tool does exist.

They (Ukrainians — ed.) really have an answer to the bombers: three anti-aircraft batteries with American-made Patriot surface-to-air missiles, Forbes emphasizes.

As you know, Patriot crews can fire PAC-2 missiles with a range of 140 km.

Even though intercepting anti-aircraft missiles is almost impossible, Ukrainian air defence has very successfully learned to destroy Russian aircraft that drop anti-aircraft missiles on the civilian population of Ukraine and the positions of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukraine may face a shortage of missiles

According to American journalists, at least several Patriot launchers are within 50 km of the contact line in eastern Ukraine.

Forbes acknowledges the fact that the Ukrainians are destroying the best fighter-bombers at a rate that Russia may simply not be able to sustain.

Seven downed planes in five days indicate a monthly loss of more than 40 jets. The Russian Air Force has about 250 Su-34 and Su-35 left. At this rate, both types may die out in half a year, the publication predicts.

However, the journalists, citing their insiders, claim that within four months, the stocks of Patriot missiles in Ukraine "will drop to a critical level."

How many Sus can the Ukrainians shoot down before they fire their last Patriot? We dont know. But we can find out — and it will happen soon, — writes the publication.
