To compensate for the number of Russian occupiers and their equipment, Ukraine needs a large number of drones, long-range missiles, aircraft, electronic warfare and demining equipment. Mykhailo Podolyak, the Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office, said this in an interview with online.ua.

How many drones does Ukraine need?

Podolyak notes that Ukraine cannot provide as much mobilised or old equipment as Russia. Therefore, technological solutions should be used at the front to compensate for the asymmetry.

You heard the president talk about it, it's a huge amount of drone production. He talks about a million next year, but it could be more because we need them every month.

According to Podolyak, the Defence Forces need to use at least 30,000 drones at the frontline every month, preferably 50,000 and optimally 100,000. This number would make up for a certain shortage of artillery or large-calibre artillery ammunition.

And at the same time, it is an effective weapon that allows us to destroy, destroy and destroy Russians anywhere, at any point along the front line.

What Ukraine needs to win

In addition to drones, Ukraine needs an electronic warfare system of various modifications, as it allows us to balance the tools that the Russians have.

The third component required by the Armed Forces is long-range missiles.

We need many more missiles with a range of 150, 200, 300 km. Why? Because we need to destroy the Russian resource far from the front line to significantly reduce the number of direct clashes.

The fourth component is aviation, as it is impossible to conduct effective offensive operations in conditions of total enemy dominance in the air.

The fifth component is any means of demining. According to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration, all this can be resolved today, and Ukraine's partners understand this.
