The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, said that Ukraine is working to revive the operation of one of its airports without mentioning which one is to be operated.

Ukraine works on resuming the revival of the airport

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Ukrainian President's Office, reported this at the presentation of the "Made in Ukraine" program.

We are working on reopening one of the airports. This will only happen after all security issues are resolved. We understand how significant this will be for economic development, Yermak said.

He did not specify which airport could resume operations.

Resumption of civil flights in Ukraine

Earlier in November 2023, the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andriy Yermak, assumed that one of the airports could be opened in Ukraine before the end of the war.

He did not specify which airport would be opened, but the mass media, citing their own sources, wrote that it was one of the cities in the west of Ukraine.

However, at a meeting with the ambassadors, Yermak expressed confidence that "Boryspil" will soon receive and send aircraft.

This return to elements of peace is possible because Ukraine has become stronger. Now we can ensure the security of this object. Thanks to our Defence Forces and our friends, your countries. And I'm sure that the symbolic boarding passes you received at the entrance will soon become real, he added.

According to Oleksiy Dubrevskyi, general director of Boryspil airport, the facility is ready to start receiving planes a month after the end of the war. He made such a statement back in October 2023.
