The head of the "Servant of the People" faction, David Arahamia, told journalist Anna Olytska that the amount of US aid will influence the decision on additional mobilisation in Ukraine.
If the aid is less, we need to mobilise people more... If the aid is more, then the armament ratio increases. And then we need fewer people, because we can conditionally "close" some areas of the front with weapons. And you don't need so many people, he explained.
Why is US aid to Ukraine delayed?
On February 13, the US Senate voted in favour of a bill on aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. Ukraine has been allocated 60 billion dollars in the package.
It is not yet known whether Republicans in the House of Representatives will agree to support the project after its approval in the Senate.
According to the House of Representatives speaker, Mike Johnson, he is dissatisfied with the text of the package bill, which includes funds to support Ukraine.
He said he was not satisfied with the lack of provisions on border security, even though the House of Representatives had previously rejected a border security bill.
