The Danish government announced a new military aid package to Ukraine for almost $250 million.

Denmark announced a new aid package for Ukraine

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasised that Denmark is a country that supports Ukraine the most.

According to her, Copenhagen spent 33 billion Danish kroner on support.

Denmark approved another aid package for Ukraine. Denmark is sending an unmistakable signal that its support for Ukraine is unwavering, Frederiksen says.

Frederiksen emphasised that the new aid package for Ukraine will be expensive.

Ukraine can count on Denmark's support for the next ten years. The same applies to a number of other countries. "Freedom has its price," said Danish PM.

Also, Danish MOD chief Troels Lund Poulsen said that the cost of the new aid package is 1.7 billion Danish kroner (about 247 million dollars).

He noted that the initiative is carried out in cooperation with other allies, including the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The minister also added that preliminary funding for military support has been allocated until 2028.

In addition, Poulsen said that the first Danish batch of F-16 fighters will arrive in Ukraine this summer. However, the minister said he cannot say precisely when this will happen.

Denmark is one of Ukraine's partner countries. It provided our country with military and humanitarian aid and supported sanctions against Russia.

It is known that Denmark has already provided artillery to Ukraine and has also joined the aviation coalition to train and transfer F-16 fighters.
