The British government will hand over thousands of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a co-leader of a large international coalition. It is worth noting that Latvia will also become its co-chair.
"Coalition of drones" for Ukraine. First details
The UK Secretary of Defense chief, Grant Shapps, made a statement on this occasion.
He said London and Latvia will lead a large coalition to provide Ukraine with uncrewed aerial vehicles.
I proudly announce that Great Britain and Latvia will lead an international coalition to develop vital drones for Ukraine. Together, we will provide Ukraine with the capabilities it needs to defend itself and win this war to ensure that Putin is defeated in his illegal and brutal ambitions.

The minister also said that his country will increase and streamline the provision of FPV drones to Ukraine by the West.
Grant Shapps pointed out that these UAVs have proven highly influential on the front, providing operators with situational awareness to engage enemy positions, armoured vehicles and ships.
It is important to understand that this project will be launched out of the £200m drone package announced by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in January this year.
What is known about the details of the agreement
Grant Shapps points out that within this package, official London will order thousands of FPV drones for the Armed Forces, including from British manufacturers.
He also announced the forecast that this will give impetus to the development of the industry and contribute to the achievement of the Prime Minister's priority task of economic growth.
The UK continues to do everything it can to give Ukraine what it needs – this year, we increased our aid to £2.5bn and allocated £200m to drone production, making us the largest supplier of UAVs to Ukraine.
