On the night of January 17, Ukrainian soldiers successfully used a "hybrid" air defence system. They managed to destroy the Russian-Iranian "Shahed" at a distance of 9 kilometres.
Self-made Ukrainian anti-aircraft warfare system started to protect the sky
Information about the use of hybrid air defence was officially confirmed by the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry, Oleksandr Kamyshin, during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
According to him, Ukrainian specialists decided to take Soviet components, as well as Western missiles, to create a self-made air defence system.
Or vice versa: they took Western installations and applied Soviet missiles to them.
It is worth noting that Oleksandr Kamyshin did not specify which system he was talking about. This may be a FrankenSAM project.
