Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" combat helicopter from a portable anti-aircraft missile system.

The commander of the operational and strategic troops group (OSTG) "Tavria", Bridier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, reported destroying the enemy "Alligator" in the Avdiivka direction.

On February 7, soldiers of one of the mechanised units destroyed a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter in the operational zone of the OSTG "Tavria" air.

The enemy "Alligator" with its crew was hit with MANPADS and fertilised the soil in the Avdiiv direction.

Tarnavskyi reported that the Russians are concentrating their primary offensive efforts on the Novopavlivske, Avdiivska and Orichiv directions.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, since February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation has lost 326 helicopters, including this Ka-52. Its approximate value is 16 million dollars.

The situation in the operational zone of the OSTG "Tavria"

According to Tarnavskyi, over the past day, the Russian Federation lost 409 occupants and 34 units of military equipment in the operational area of the Tavria air defence missile system, not including UAVs.

In particular, these are seven tanks, 11 armoured personnel vehicles, four artillery systems, one helicopter, six vehicles and five units of special equipment.

Ukrainian defense forces also destroyed one ammunition depot and another important Russian facility. 178 UAVs of various types were neutralised or destroyed.

During the day, the Russian aggressor carried out 56 airstrikes, carried out 64 assault operations and fired 919 artillery shells.
