The Bloomberg agency draws attention to the fact that sea deliveries of crude oil from Russia have fallen to a minimum in almost two months. The situation worsened sharply due to a powerful attack by Ukrainian drones and unfavorable weather.

Russia faces problems with oil supply after Ukraine's drone attack

According to analysts, from last month until January 21, about 3.36 million barrels of crude oil were shipped daily from Russian ports.

Experts emphasise that this is 50,000 barrels per day less than the revised indicator until January 14.

The more volatile weekly average fell 340,000 barrels a day to a seven-week low of 3.02 million. Exports were affected by continued bad weather in some ports and a Ukrainian drone strike at a condensate processing plant adjacent to the crude oil export terminal in Ust-Luz.

Analysts have already announced that port maintenance and worsening weather conditions could even hit Russian supplies.

They believe the drone attack has opened a new front in the war, highlighting the vulnerability of oil exports from Russia's western ports.

Russia also recognised the Novatek plant collapse after a drone attack

Recently, the Reuters team asked analysts of the Moscow brokerage company BCS how they assess the consequences of Ukraine's attack on the Russian Novatek plant.

We believe the plant will likely return to significant capacity within weeks or, at worst, months,” they told the media.

In addition, it is emphasised that a quarter of Novatek's revenues may suffer due to this incident.

As mentioned earlier, Ukraine's drones hit two storage tanks and a pumping station at the plant.
