According to the former chief of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Valerii Kondratyuk, the Kremlin dictator and war criminal Vladimir Putin does not have the resources to support hostilities on the territory of European countries at the same time as waging an illegal war against Ukraine.

Why it is essential to distinguish Putin's crazy wishes and statements from real possibilities

In particular, Kondratiuk commented on numerous statements that the next victims of the Kremlin's armed aggression could be the Baltic states or Moldova.

If Putin could, he would go even further. That is, what he wants and what he can do are different things. And today we have to evaluate his abilities by how he realizes what he wants. Today, these capabilities are limited thanks not only to the heroism of our soldiers, although this is of primary importance, but also to the support of the West, — notes the ex-chief of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service.

He emphasised that the world community should understand that currently, Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin is the number one terrorist in the world.

When Putin decided to attack Ukraine

Kondratyuk emphasised that the Kremlin dictator decided to attack Ukraine back in 2004.

I think it was 2004, the Orange Revolution. And when Ukraine frankly said that our course is towards the European Union, towards NATO, that we choose our own path, then Putin, realizing that all his capabilities are already at risk, gave the command to prepare this "operation". And then thousands of Russian agents were sent to us, like Bezlier and the rest of the "sleepers" in different cities. And [Russian] General Staff began to prepare these operations, — notes the former spy chief.

According to him, there are much fewer of those Russian agents left in Ukraine at this moment.

Kondratiuk noted that in 2014, the Russians also recruited people in Ukraine "for political reasons" because there was a political split in the country. But when the war began, many of those agents refused to cooperate.

And the Russians are now trying to restore their influence over these people and bring them back under their control with threats and threats. And these are great risks that still exist for the Ukrainian state, — emphasises the former spy chief.
