The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed the 24-hour operation of territorial recruitment and social support centres (TRC).
The Cabinet of Ministers allowed 24-hour TRC work
At the government meeting, it was decided to amend the regulation on TCC. From now on, TRCs can work around the clock during mobilisation or martial law.
During the mobilisation and for the duration of martial law, the TRC granted the proper 24 hours a day:
Consider cases of administrative offences and impose administrative fines;
to organise medical examinations and psychological examinations by military medical commissions of conscripts and reservists (for territorial TRCs);
keep personal and high-quality records of conscripts, reliable for military service and reservists;
keep records of vehicles to be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during mobilisation and wartime.
What is known about the bill on mobilisation
On December 26, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill "On improving certain issues of mobilisation, military registration and military service".
Before that, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated that during the discussion of the bill on mobilisation, the military proposed to call up 450-500 thousand additional people.
On January 11, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Rustem Umierov, said that the department's team had already prepared a new version of the bill on mobilization, taking into account all the proposals agreed in the working order with deputies at the meetings of the parliamental Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
On January 12, the head of the "Servant of the People" parliamentary faction, MP David Arakhamia, stated that the terms of the bill's re-introduction on mobilisation to the Verkhovna Rada were not discussed.
On January 30, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the updated bill on mobilisation and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada. In turn, the Ministry of Defence indicated that comments and observations on the document were taken into account with the AFU General Staff, the government, and MPs.
On February 7, the Verkhovna Rada supported the updated bill on mobilisation proposed by the government in the first reading.
On February 8, the head of the "Servant of the People" faction, David Arahamia, said that he does not see anyone in the parliament who would support the provision in the bill on mobilisation to block the accounts of citizens who evade service.
