The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) published the intercept of the conversation with the commander of the Russian brigade after the destruction of the "Sergei Kotov" patrol ship.

What is known about the destruction of the Russian ship "Sergei Kotov"

The audio recording is posted on the DIU YouTube channel.

The commander of the 184th brigade of ships for protecting the water area (based in Russian Novorossiysk), under whose command the Russian patrol ship "Sergei Kotov" was, describes the details of the vessel's destruction.

According to him, the Russian ship was attacked at 00:50 by "unmanned boats in the amount of five units".

I don't know how they fought with them there for 40 minutes. Because in 40 minutes there was information that there were five UBs [unmanned boats] near "Kotov". There was also a helicopter there, the ship itself with AK-176-300 weapons, says the Russian commander.

Russia recognised the effectiveness of Ukraine's unmanned boats

The pro-military Russian Telegram channel Fighterbomber noted that the UBs showed their high efficiency and, at the moment, the large Russian ships cannot effectively oppose them.

I don't know what conclusions can be drawn, except that it is now necessary to accept this fact, to take all large ships out of the radius of UBs effective action, to close parking places with engineering means that exclude the UBs strike of ships near the berths, to shift the tasks of the Black Sea Fleet to small-sized and fast-moving boats and boats of"Raptor" type, submarines and aviation, the source said.
